Comparison of FFP2, KN95, and N95 and Other Face Masks

Masks Offered for Sale to Kogalla Customers Are Class KN95

The masks kogalla has offered for sale on this site are class KN95 and meet Chinese specification GB2626-2006. They are very similar to class N95 that meet US specification NIOSH-42CFR84. Based on a January 2020 Technical Bulletin released by 3M, it is reasonable to consider a KN95 mask as "equivalent" to an N95 mask for filtering non-oil-based particulates including bio-aerosols.

A properly worn KN95 mask offers similar protection to that of an N95 mask.

Similar But Very Different

HOWEVER, in the United States, medical respirators and particulate respirators MUST be approved by NIOSH.

THEREFORE, the masks offered for sale on this website are NOT certified for use in U.S. hospitals.
