It is crucially important to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This virus has a significantly high rate of cases requiring critical health care. By slowing the rate of transmission, we can reduce the overwhelm on intensive care units (ICUs) across the country.
Slowing the spread of the disease will also allow more time for additional treatments and interventions both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical to be discovered and implemented.
New data is showing that even young and otherwise VERY HEALTHY INDIVIDUALS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE to this virus.
By doing your best to follow the CDC guidelines, you are PROTECTING YOURSELF, and literally SAVING THE LIVES of those who will manifest the worst symptoms of this disease.
Listen and follow the directions of your STATE AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES.
IF YOU FEEL SICK, stay home. Do not go to work.
IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE SICK, keep them at home. Contact your medical provider.
IF YOU ARE AN OLDER PERSON, or have a serious underlying health condition, stay home and away from other people.
